The question we answer most often at the counter
Someone walks up and asks for Silver from Japan. We do not stock it, and neither does anyone else, because Japan does not make a flavour called Silver.
This is comfortably the most common confusion we deal with on Japanese stock. Japanese-market TEREA was named for Japanese customers using descriptive names rather than the colour system rolled out across Europe, the CIS and Southeast Asia. So the flavour you know as Bronze is sold in Japan as Rich Regular. Silver is Smooth Regular. Turquoise is simply Menthol.
Nothing has changed inside the pack. Only the name on it.

Philip Morris does not publish a name-for-name mapping between markets, and profiles are built for local palates, so a Japanese Rich Regular and a Kazakh Bronze sit in the same place in the range without being guaranteed identical. For choosing what to buy, the table is accurate enough to rely on.
Two names carry across unchanged: Oasis Pearl and Sun Pearl. If you smoke either of those, you can order the Japanese version by name without translating anything.
Two flavours have no Japanese counterpart at all. Yellow and Green Zing are not part of the Japanese line-up, so if those are your regulars, Japan is not your origin — look at Kazakhstan instead.

1. TEREA Rich Regular — AED 200
Rich Regular is our best-selling Japanese flavour and the one most people are actually looking for when they ask for Bronze from Japan. It is the strongest tobacco in the Japanese range — dark, full and with genuine throat presence rather than a hint of one.
If you have come off cigarettes and want the heaviest thing on the shelf, this is it. Be honest with yourself about the price first, though: Kazakh Bronze occupies the same position in the range for AED 125. Buy Rich Regular because you want the Japanese pack, not because you expect a stronger stick.
2. TEREA Menthol and Mint — AED 200
Japan splits its cold flavours into two where other markets blur them. Menthol is the clean cooling hit, closest to Turquoise. Mint is softer and slightly sweeter, closer to Blue. Having both as separate products rather than one compromise flavour is a genuine advantage of the Japanese range if you are particular about your menthol.
One caution from our own experience: we find Kazakh-origin menthols hit colder and sharper than the same style of flavour from Japan. We are not claiming a different recipe — most likely batch variation and a shorter supply route — but if maximum cold is what you are paying for, Japan may not deliver it. 3. TEREA Sun Pearl and Oasis Pearl Japan — AED 200
The Pearls are where the Japanese premium makes the most sense to us. These are capsule variants and capsules are the most freshness-sensitive product in the range — a capsule that has dried out or sat in heat does not release properly. Pay for Japan when: you want a flavour split the other markets do not offer, like Menthol and Mint as separate products; you smoke capsules and want them at their freshest; you smoked TEREA in Japan and want the exact pack you know; or you simply want it and the AED 75 does not matter to you. All four are legitimate reasons.
Skip Japan when: you just want strong tobacco. Rich Regular at AED 200 and Bronze at AED 125 sit in the same place in the range. Over a year of daily smoking that gap is not small.
Japan is the most counterfeited origin in Dubai — here is how we handle it
This matters more on Japanese stock than on anything else we sell, and the reason is arithmetic. A counterfeiter clears far more on a fake AED 200 Japanese carton than on a fake AED 119 Kyrgyz one, so that is where the effort goes.
Our rule on Japanese stock is simple: we open the carton at the counter. Every Japan buyer gets to see the seal and the foil before they pay. We would rather spend the minute than have you wonder.
What we are showing you, so you can do the same check anywhere:
- The outer seal — genuine cellophane is tight, cleanly folded at the corners, and the tear strip comes away in one continuous piece. Counterfeit wrap is looser, the folds are uneven, and the strip breaks part-way.
- The inner foil — genuine foil is an even tone across the whole sheet with a crisp fold line. Fakes run off-shade, patchy, or noticeably thinner.
- The batch code — present, sharp, and not identical across every pack in the carton.
- The stick — genuine TEREA for ILUMA has an internal heating element and no blade slot. Anything resembling an old HEETS stick is not TEREA.
